Designed in the early 1950s and accepted into the Soviet Army in 1954, the RGD-5 is an anti-personnel fragmentation grenade with a fatality radius of 3m and wounding radius of 25m. Widely exported and copied, millions of RDG-5s have been produced and are still being manufactured in Russia, Bulgaria, China and Georgia. The RGD-5 has seen use in the Ukraine conflict.
